PROJECT OVERVIEW

As the sole designer on the project, I undertook the task of redesigning the sales force app, specifically for mid-size screens (tablets) running on Android platforms.

THE CHALLENGE

The primary objective was to enhance usability, resulting in a reduction of support tickets from the sales team and minimising order-related issues. The challenge was to address the complex requirements set by Amanco, where multiple complex rules needed to be applied during order creation and product addition processes.

App Android - Sales Team

To simplify the complex rules required, the design approach Material Design was used to create pattern principles as a foundation, which was then further customised. This combination allowed for an intuitive and user-friendly interface, making it easier for users to navigate and comprehend the complex requirements in an easy way.

Back-office - Managers

In order to streamline order management and enhance control for managers and stakeholders, the back-office system was seamlessly integrated with SAP. To ensure a user-friendly and visually appealing interface, the design was implemented using customized Bootstrap pattern, allowing for a responsive website that can be accessed through any browser.

Before / After

JWR Consulting Website

To achieve a responsive layout, I utilised a Bootstrap 12-column grid system during the development of the website. Taking charge of both the design and coding aspects, I created the front-end of the website. Additionally, I took responsibility for setting up the hosting environment and ensuring a successful go-live process.

WHAT HAVE I LEARNED?

Reflecting back on the project

The experience working on B2B products has significantly enhanced my understanding of simplifying complex rules, managing large quantities of content, and addressing multiple complex requirements with clarity and simplicity. Focusing specifically on Android development for medium-sized screens has provided me with invaluable knowledge and insights. Additionally, being part of a small team has granted me the opportunity to actively participate in the entire process end-to-end.
